Buprenorphine

Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist used as a core medication in the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD). By reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms while having a ceiling effect on respiratory depression, it supports safer, evidence-based maintenance therapy.

Buprenorphine is also widely used in combination therapy with naloxone to help deter misuse and support OUD treatment programs. River Stone Biotech produces Buprenorphine via a novel mixed biological and chemical synthesis in accord with the USP and EP Pharmacopeia.
